Travel photography, and I guess travel in general never really appealed to me on a personal or professional level. That changed completely after my California trip. It opened up my eyes and made me realise that the camera can be a little like a passport - in the fact that it can be a way to explore the world.
I like to think my travel photography isn't travel photography in the traditional sense - someone once called it 'Alt travel photography' and I really like that.
I tend to photograph bits and pieces, a part of a building, something obscure, a shadow or a wave, as well as the occasional model, and of course portraits of my wife in places we've been. These are all things that remind me of the trips and the destinations...
