Carl Beebee is a photographic artist from the United Kingdom who specialises in conceptual, fashion and portraiture photography.
With a BA Hons in Fine Art Photography, Carl began his career working for record labels producing press shots for bands and musicians. This work eventually led to him working for and being published by such magazines as Kerrang!, NME, Metal Hammer and Melody Maker.
In 2005 his conceptual artwork was exhibited in America in both group and solo shows as part of the ‘Carl Beebee Exported’ tour. The work was exhibited in cities such as; New York, Seattle, San Antonio and Chicago. The exhibition would later travel to Toronto, Canada.
These original shows have led to exhibitions all over the world in the last 15 years including shows in America, Canada, UK, France and Japan.
In 2007 Carl - as part of 12.42 Films - directed a documentary feature DVD of 90s indie band ‘Ned’s Atomic Dustbin’. The film titled ‘Don’t Exist’ included interviews with the band, live footage as well as interviews with Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 and celebrity author Martin Roach.
After small independent releases of his first two books ‘The Polaroid Collection’ and ‘Making Poverty History’ his third book California Calling was released in 2014 and became an Amazon best seller. He is currently working on his fourth photographic book ‘MIDLIFE’ which is scheduled for release towards the end of 2020.
As well as photographic work Carl also carries out lectures and workshops as a qualified Arts Award Advisor. He is also a ‘Snap My Life’ ambassador.
He currently lives in Herefordshire in the UK with his wife Emma and son Sebastian.
